  1. How to set a meeting that requires CUHK Login? 

    • Please refer to CUHK EdTech Help Center: Setting a ZOOM meeting to only authenticated users can join (CUHK only) 

    • Please also note that this setting only applies to Zoom desktop client and Zoom app. Please consider selecting "Computer Audio only" when you schedule the meeting to prevent participants from joining meetings without authentication using a telephone. 

  1. Are there any differences between alternative hosts and co-hosts? 

    • They are different.  

    • Alternative host can start the meeting on the host's behalf.  

    • If the original host joins after the alternative host, the original host will become the host in the meeting, and the alternative host will become a co-host if the co-host feature is enabled.

  1. If there are several discussion times for students in the meeting, and I would like to assign them automatically to the breakout rooms, will they be always in the same breakout room?  

    • Yes. They will be in the same breakout room unless you recreate all rooms.

  1. What is 2FA? 

    • It is referring to Two-Factor Authentication.  

    • Teachers need to use VPN to connect to network when using classroom computers, and CUHK VPN requires 2FA. Teachers should make sure they have already enabled 2FA and could use it beforehand.
